We Stand with our sisters

I was introduced to a community of women while on a photography commission for The Wellbeing Hub in 2024, to photograph a book launch and Q&A panel. It was here I stood in the presence of a remarkable community of women. I listened to their stories of struggle, pain and injustice, but also resilience, healing and hope, stories of how sisterhood had lifted their spirits and got them through some of their darkest days.

Many spoke of the profound impact The Wellbeing Hub in Ilford, led by two inspiring and supportive women Cherrill Hutchinson and Raquel Cerezo Martin, had on their lives. This portrait series celebrates strength, courage and the transformative power of community. It celebrates the enduring bond of sisterhood and the way it lifts each women, helping them heal, thrive and overcome.
